BUSINESS:
13. Approve the following action relative to Business items for the 2009-2010 school year:
a) approve the district’s Flexible Spending Account program with a medical deferral
maximum of $3,000, effective January 1, 2010
b) approve the amendment of the 403(b) plan document to include LPL Financial as an
additional investment provider effective January 1, 2010.
c) adopt the following resolution to join the Educational Risk Insurance Consortium-
North, effective January 1, 2010 through June 30, 2013:
Whereas, the New Jersey School Boards Insurance Act, Assembly 1373, enacted and
signed by the Governor in 1983, enables school districts to cooperate with each other
to make the most efficient use of their powers and resources on a basis of mutual
advantage in the areas of insurance and self-insurance and related services; and
Whereas, the Board of Education of the North Brunswick Township School District
desires to secure protection, services, and savings relating to insurance and self-
insurance for itself and its departments and employees; and
Whereas, the Board of Education of the North Brunswick Township School District
finds that the best and most efficient way of securing this protection and services is
by cooperating with other school districts across the State of New Jersey; and

Whereas, the New Jersey School Boards Association Insurance Group and its
bylaws provide a basis for securing this protection for member districts;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF
THE NORTH BRUNSWICK TOWNSHIP DISTRICT THAT the Board of
Education of North Brunswick Township School District joins with other school
districts in organizing and becoming members of the Subfund of the New Jersey
School Boards Association Insurance Group (Educational Risk Insurance
Consortium); and
THAT, by adoption and signing of this resolution, the Board of Education is hereby
joining the Subfund of the New Jersey School Boards Association Insurance Group
(Educational Risk Insurance Consortium) effective the date indicated below, and for
the duration of three consecutive years for the following coverage:
Property EDP General Liability
Umbrella Crime Automobile Liability
Errors & Omissions Equipment Breakdown Auto Physical Damage
Adopted by the Board of Education of the North Brunswick Township School
District, New Jersey, from January 1, 2010 until June 30, 2013.
d) approve a contract with the New Jersey Schools Association Insurance Group, through
participation in the Educational Risk and Insurance Consortium-North, for property,
casualty and liability insurance effective January 1, 2010 through June 30, 2010 (details
available in the board office) in the amount of $366,104.
e) approve a contract with Selective Insurance Company for obtaining surety bonds
effective January 1, 2010 through June 30, 2010 in the amount of $1,411.
f) approve architectural services for an ADA evaluation and study for the Maple
Meade Administration building with Spiezle Group with fees not to exceed $8,950.

d) Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11(c)3, that as of November 30, 2009 the members of
the North Brunswick Township Board of Education, after reviewing the Secretary’s
monthly financial report (appropriations section) and upon consultation with the
appropriate district officials, certify that to the best of their knowledge no line item
or account has encumbrances and expenditures which in total exceed the line item
appropriation in violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11(a), and that sufficient funds are
available to meet the district’s financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal
year.
e) Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11(c)4. that as of November 30, 2009 the members of
the North Brunswick Township Board of Education, after review of the Board
Secretary’s report and upon consultation with the appropriate district officials, certify

BUSINESS:
13. Approve the following action relative to Business items for the 2009-2010 school year:
g) approve of interlocal agreement between the North Brunswick Township Schools and the
County of Middlesex for the distribution of the H1N1 vaccine.
WHEREAS, the County of Middlesex conducts an H1N1 vaccination program
throughout the County; and
WHEREAS, the North Brunswick Township School district wishes to participate in said
program by providing vaccinations to willing Pre-K through grade 12 students and staff
in the district; and
WHEREAS, the parties are authorized to enter into an agreement pursuant to N.J.S.A.
40-65A-1 et. seq:,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the North Brunswick Township School district
authorizes the execution of an interlocal agreement with the County of Middlesex to
participate in the County’s H1N1 vaccination program, subject to the mutual promises,
covenants, and conditions contained in the agreement.
