Truman on Trial (85 points)
Website: http://hnn.us/articles/190.html (History News Network)
Objective:
In groups of two, you will be analyzing statements of prosecution & defense in
regards to putting our former U.S. president Harry S. Truman on trial for the dropping of
the Atomic bomb (s) to conclude WWII. You will also be using established ‘judges’ to
help guide you in your personal decisions (web postings). The project is research
intensive, and will require small group discussion to create a web posting for all of my
classes to see. You will also be required to reply to your peers’ discussion threads as
well. The time you spend up front (reading & discussion) will set the foundation for your
posting and your replies (in essence, determine your grade).
