PaymentOne Executive Biographies

Led by CEO Joe Lynam, PaymentOne's senior leadership team is comprised of experienced executives

from industries including payment processing, telecommunications, financial services, digital content,

media and technology.

Joe Lynam, President, CEO and Founder

More than a dozen years ago, Joe Lynam envisioned a new payment process that would allow all

consumers to participate in the emerging digital economy. Today, the digital economy is in full swing

and the company Joe founded, PaymentOne, has emerged as the industry's fastest-growing direct to bill

(D2B) payments provider, bridging personal computer-based eCommerce and mobile commerce. Joe

has spent the last two decades as one of the leading pioneers of digital payments. His early work in

online payment methods, authentication tools and comprehensive fraud control techniques are now

emerging as industry-wide standards, and have earned his company multiple patents.

Joe is an accomplished entrepreneur and seasoned executive with proven ability to lead companies

through profitable double and triple digit growth. Under his leadership, PaymentOne has more than

doubled its revenues in four consecutive years, culminating in two Deloitte Fast 50 Awards, recognition

as the 11th fastest growing technology company in Silicon Valley and 33rd fastest growing company in

North America.

Prior to PaymentOne, Joe founded and led VRS Billing Systems, a micro-transaction and third party

payments company that was acquired by AT&T. In fewer than three years, Joe grew VRS from startup to

powerhouse, with annual retail billings of more than $300 million. Joe also spent time at AT&T earlier in

his career, designing and implementing the company’s nationwide third party payments platform.

Evan Meyer, CFO

As CFO, Evan Meyer drives PaymentOne’s aggressive global expansion and guides the company’s

financial and administrative functions. A member of PaymentOne’s founding executive team, Evan has

successfully steered the company to profitability, without requiring venture capital investment,

leveraging his considerable experience in operations, allocation of capital, cost control and M&A. Under

Evan’s financial leadership, PaymentOne has earned its customers more than $5 billion in incremental

revenues, defining the direct carrier billing category as it has evolved from the early days of premium

SMS (PSMS) into the booming mobile opportunity it represents today.

No stranger to the complex auditing processes that characterize the direct carrier billing space, Evan

began his career in the audit department at Pricewaterhouse where later he went on to become a

senior manager in the Corporate Finance, Recovery and Disputes Consulting Group. In total, Evan brings

more than 25 years of financial management experience across a variety of business and banking

sectors to PaymentOne, including leadership roles with the Gap and Bank of America.

Also a certified public accountant, Evan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from

California State Polytechnic University, and received his Master of Business Administration from the

University of Washington.

Brad Singer, Executive Vice President

A major factor in PaymentOne’s success has been the global expansion of the company’s direct carrier

billing network, which now stands at more than 1200 telecom operators the world over. Overseeing and

growing these strategic operator relationships and other strategic partnerships is the responsibility of

Executive Vice President Brad Singer. Brad, who also steers product direction, has guided the financial

services business to blanket more than 3 billion consumers worldwide, with the most diverse product

portfolio in the direct carrier billing business. Brad leverages nearly two decades of experience in online

content, eCommerce and media services, to lead all of PaymentOne’s commercial operations, spanning

sales, marketing, client services and business development.

Brad joined PaymentOne from NewsEdge, an early pioneer in content syndication, where he served as

vice president of strategic marketing, product management and content licensing. During Brad’s 8-year

tenure, NewsEdge achieved double-digit year-over-year revenue growth, consistent profitability and a

successful IPO. Prior to NewsEdge, Brad was vice president of marketing and business development at

TeleKnowledge, a billing and commerce infrastructure company. Brad has also held senior positions at

General Electric and Citibank in Latin America.

Brad holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Economics from Tufts University, and earned

his MBA in Finance from the Wharton Business School.

Mark Snycerski, Vice President of Engineering

A strong believer in leveraging high-quality, open source technologies to build large-scale and robust

business applications, Mark Snycerski is responsible for managing the service bureau operations and all

related engineering and product development for PaymentOne.

Mark has over 20 years of software development and management experience covering a broad range

of technologies. Before joining PaymentOne in 2003, Mark was a director of engineering at Netfish

Technologies, a business-to-business integration company, where he helped build the company from 10

to 300 people over a 2-year period. After Netfish was acquired by IONA Technologies, Mark stayed on to

manage a distributed engineering team focused on infrastructure, business process management and

security. Prior to Netfish/IONA, Mark worked on several distributed systems and call processing

applications at Siemens.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Michigan and a Master of

Science in Computer Science from Stanford University.
