The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County houses a wide array of priceless collection from the natural world that will surely

catch the attention of kids and adults alike. The Nature History Museum is considered as the most ancient and biggest in the western

part of the United States. It houses over 33 million items that ranges from full-size actual dinosaur skeletons and meteorites obtained

right from the planet Mars to the huge collectibles of fold in the United States and even the live insect zoo. This renowned museum is

known for its exhibits of Dueling dinosaurs, boosting full-sized skeletons of a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a triceratops locked in a clash for

survival. The Tyrannosaurus Rex is perhaps the most popular type of dinosaur, being the most terrifying star on the movie Jurassic

Park. On the other hand, the Triceratops is a three-horned heavy type of dinosaur that walked near the ground. The Natural History

Museum features these dinosaurs and other ancient creatures such as the duckbilled Edmontosaurus, a Plesiosaur and a

Stegosaurus at the newly renovated Dinosaur Halls which will be inaugurated on July 16. The all new, 14,000 square foot Dinosaur

Hall will mark the middle point of the Museum's 7-year self transformation.



The people behind its operation are taking the museum outside. A new outdoor nature area is blossoming up around the museum,

providing interactive and a fun park and habitat area right at the center of the city. The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County

– North Campus is making a new and exciting urban destination situated in a large 3.5 acres of outdoor destination that will foster

nature's amazing beauty within an urban setting. This recently developed area will be an immersive and exciting destination for every

tourist, stimulating curiosity and interest with nature. The museum's North Campus – Front Yard will teach every Angelinos about the

local flora and fauna of the area which is aimed at enriching the experience from the indoor exhibition areas to a live in-situ

knowledge. The exhibits done outdoors will be amazing and expressive, at the same time, it will provide programs in support of

ongoing scientific studies.



The museum has also been used for external shots of the Jeffersonian Institute on the famous TV show entitled Bones. The museum's

interior has also been utilized for an episode of the sitcom How I Met Your Mother (season six)



The museum is located at 900 Exposition Blvd. Entrance to the museum is absolutely free for children under five years of age, $2

dollars for children age 5 years and above, $5.50 for seniors and $8 for adults. Tour groups composing of more than 10 visitors may

have an arrangement for discounted fees through a museum staff by calling: 213-763-3218. The museum is open daily, from 10 am

until 5 in the afternoon, although it is closed during Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. If you want to know more
