interested worker (endorsed by manager). On receipt of nomination CSF Social Care L & D sends
worker a scholarship information/application pack
Application made through UCAS / University of choice by worker
Attend University interviews
University offers place after successful interview

By 27 February 2009 Worker returns scholarship application form to CSF Social Care L & D Team
In April & May interviews for scholarship conducted by a CSF Interview Panel
If Successful If Not Successful
Worker offered a Scholarship contract Worker decides if wishes to self-fund studies.
Possible option to adjust contract of employment to
‘annualised hours’ (also eligible for GSCC bursary).
Leave substantive post and
lose continuation of service

Request an annualised hours
contract of employment and
leave substantive post

Attend University for 3 years as full time
