"Geographic Informational Systems in Agrarian Universities (GISAU)", which will be held on the
14th-15th of September 2006 in Kherson (Ukraine)
Aim:
To support GIS-technologies development and usage in scientific and academic work of Agrarian
Universities, agriculture, water and land resources management, hydrotechnical melioration,
economics of natural resources management and environmental protection and to support the
introduction of modern educational technologies to the teaching process.

Reqirements to articles and presentations:
The size of the paper or poster presentation must be no more than 10 pages, including pictures and
tables. Abstracts – up to 1 page.
For publication we admit articles (from 3 to 10 pages, typed in Microsoft Word, with Arial Font
type, size 14 with 1 interval, without hyphenation, page А-4 with paper margins: left – 3 cm, right,
lower, upper – 2 cm, without numeration of pages) hard copy with a electronic copy on the 3,5 inch
floppy disk. Pictures should be in separate files. In the case of non-fulfillment of the requirements,
stated above, editors may not admit the article for publication. It is necessarily to indicate universal
decimal classification (UDC), the title of the article, initials, surname (in capital letters), academic
degree, rank, name of institution. Surnames are to be printed under the title of the article.
In accordance with the requirements to preparation of scientific materials of the State Commission
for Academic Degrees and Titles Order № 7-05/1 from 15th of January 2003 the text of the article
must consist of introduction, main part and conclusion.
Bibliographic list and references on authors are obligatory. The article must be signed by its
author (authors). Annotations in Ukrainian (for the citizens of Ukraine), Russian and English
languages must be attached to the article and contain the names of the authors, title of the article,
text of annotation and key words.
The papers will be printed before the beginning of the conference. Publication of articles in
"Tavria Science Bulletin", which is included into the list of special editions of State Commission
for Academic Degrees and Titles of Ukraine in the spare of new, present-day issues of agricultural
science and practice, is planned after the conference. The articles will also be placed at the Web site
of Kherson State University (www.kspu.edu) and Kherson State Agricultural University
(ksau.ks.ua).

The participants of the conference should buy return-tickets in advance.
Costs:
There will be no cost in connection to the conference. Participants themselves cover only travel
costs to and from Kherson, accommodation and board for the period of conference.
