Project Goal
I would like to have a central location that will contain
the various works I have completed while in Authoring
Interactive Media.
I would also like to have work that pertains to my field
of study, along with my resume so that prospective
employers, clients and the general public can easily
view.
Objectives
I plan to complete these goals with a mix of the coding
knowledge that I have been exposed to in Authoring
Interactive Media, and also tips that I have picked up
in my free time (whether from books, or internet
sources).
Scope-
Estimated
I originally felt that this “re-design,” would take me
around 3 or 4 three hour days to complete. I was sort of
behind the curve, seeing as I was the only one in my
class without a design background. We knew of this
project the entire semester, but did not begin to
understand the true parameters and expectations until
about a week before its due date.
Scope-
Actual
The design actually took less time than I thought it would.
I’m guessing around a total of five hours. My main issue
was trying to create an original background. My classmates
all had very creative designs, and trying to compare to
them was hurting me. So, I decided to just find a neutral
background, and that the crux of my creativity would lye
within the various media that my site would offer the
audience. Their websites, along with the required reading
for the class, and some helpful hints found on the internet
served as aids in my success.
Production Guide
The overall feel of the site is very calm. Because of the general terms used for
navigation, along with relatively common terms and detailed images, the user
should not feel intimidated, and will enjoy their time spent viewing my
creation.

Typography: body { font: small/3.0 em Andy, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif },
a:hover/a:active/a:link {font-family: Arial, sans-serif;}, navigation {Georgia,
"Times New Roman", Times, Serif;}, sides {geneva, helvetica, arial;}, footer
{comic sans MS, new york, times;}
Since I am a sound designer, I embedded samples of audio pieces that I am
currently working on
Usability
I intended for a minimalist site so that those that are
not engaged in the audio or graphic design worlds
could still maneuver without any problems.
I had two friends test the site together, and the overall
concerns were that: my background image was too
bland, I should’ve used more advanced fonts, clickable
images that open in a new window should have been
used for my screenshots, and I should have used my
new design for all of my old pages, rather than just the
homepage.
