CURRENT SITUATION
The State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) is at Level 2 Activation (Partial) monitoring the progress of Tropical Storm Edouard... The State Emergency Response Team is in a response mode to assist local governments with their response to Tropical Storm Edouard. A Tropical Storm Watch is now in effect from Titusville, Florida to Fernandina Beach, Florida. Forecast Weather Summary At 1700 hrs the center of Tropical Storm Edouard was located near Latitude 29.8 North and Longitude 79.2 West or about 120 miles East-northeast of Daytona Beach Florida (See Map). The Storm is moving toward the West-southwest near 6 mph. This motion is expected to continue for the next 24 hours. On this track, the center of Edouard is expected to make landfall on the north-central Florida Coast on Wednesday. Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph with higher gusts. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb Edouard is expected to continue weakening and is forecast to be a tropical depression by the time it makes landfall.
CONSEQUENCES:
Rain – Edouard is forecasted to be a rain event with little wind.
COUNTY ACTIONS:
County Emergency Management reported the following information to the State Warning Point.
Brevard County - Currently monitoring the progress of the storm while identifying possible shelters if warranted. However, no impact is anticipated at this time. Duval County – Reports that the County Emergency Operations Center is at a Level 1 (Monitoring). Utility crews have been placed on standby in case of power failure. Nassau County – Currently monitoring the progress of the storm. St. John County - Currently monitoring the progress of the storm.

Clay County – Reports that the Emergency Operations Center Group has been notified as the County continues to monitor the situation. Putnam County – Reports that all ESFs and shelters have been placed on standby. A public officials briefing will be held at 1200 hrs tomorrow. Volusia County – Currently monitoring the progress of the storm.
STATE ACTIONS:
• • • The State Emergency Operations Center is at Level 2 activation (Partial). Two conference calls were held ( 1 with all 17 ESF's at 1530 hrs and another with several coastal counties in the watch area) to discuss county actions in regards to Tropical Storm Edouard. Contacts were made with the Southwest Florida, South Florida, and St. Johns Water Management Districts regarding the possible impacts of this event.
