Manual Responses
Response to Ryan Johnston:
Both of your ideas sound very interesting and definitely not boring since both topics
cover things people do generally for fun. The only problem I see is that, since there
are so many card games and video games, which will you cover; will you cover
shooter games or strategy games. For the card games, many have different rules and
play styles so it might be difficult to cover all of them in a short manual. You might
want to focus your ideas. Other than that it sounds like a manual that I think most
people would greatly enjoy reading. Most people are always searching to become
better at something they already do, be it sport or video game, so your manual
would probably come in handy for a lot of people.
Response to Philip Chen:
Your idea sounds very interesting. I remember in middle school when the cards first
started to really gain popularity I would save allowance to go buy booster packs and
decks. I never played in tournaments but I really enjoyed collecting and trading rare
cards to use to duel my friends. I myself would greatly enjoy reading a manual about
building a deck since I usually just put together a bunch of strong cards without any
support cards. Since my friends and I all did that our duels would go on forever, and
they were still fun. I still have all my cards from my middle school days and learning
from your manual I can foresee myself going back to those cards and using them
again after they've sat in my closet for so long. I look forward to your manual.
Response to Ali S Alsaidi:
Speaking as someone who has never even been in a manual transmission car (that I
can remember) I would definitely find your manual informative. I have always
wanted to learn to drive a manual transmission car but have never had the chance.
My parents only buy automatic cars but I know many more expensive car models
come as manuals and I am hoping that one day I too will have one of those cars. It
would be very nice if I could learn to drive stick shift now instead of learning later in
life. You will have to be very specific with the timing and nuances that come with
driving manually for the people who, like me, have never had the chance to even try
to drive one once. I look forward to reading your manual so I can learn how to drive
no matter what car I am using.
