V. EVALUATION: Students will be evaluated and grades assigned based on their demonstrated

knowledge of the subject matter and their ability to apply that knowledge to the solution of assigned

problems. Mid-term exams will be scheduled at two-week intervals and there will be class assignments.

There will also be a comprehensive Final exam.

The grading weight is as follows:

MILEPOSTS 15%

PRACTICALS 25%

NOTEBOOK 40%

FINAL PRESENTATION 20%

TOTAL 100%

VI. ATTENDANCE: Since a large portion of the material covered in the course is not in the referenced

text, it is essential that students attend class regularly.

VII. ORAL PRESENTATION: Students will be expected to present their final assignment to the class.

The oral report shall will discuss the following aspects of the project:

 How the student met the objectives of the assignment.

 How the assignment helped the student improve ACAD skills.

 What difficulties were encountered during the assignment.

 Key points of special interest to the student.

 What were the special challenges encountered.

VIII. OFFICE HOURS: Office hours are posted on the Instructor's door for students that need extra

help. The Instructor is not limited to posted office hours for extra help.

IX. NOTEBOOKS: All work shall be submitted in a notebook at designated mile posts and the end of the

quarter. Notebooks may be kept by the instructor and may not be returned to the student. The student

shall do a self assessment that will be part of the notebook.

IX CELL PHONES: Cell phones are thought to be an integral part of the 21rst Century life. They are very

useful, but not indispensable. Cell phone calls can be disruptive and in some cases rude and
