Edinburgh on 2 , 3 and 4 September 2006 for ‘gappers’ and new graduates interested in spending
the winter ski season working in Canada. The resort hotel is recruiting in conjunction with BUNAC, market
leader in overseas work and volunteer programmes for young people in Scotland.
BUNAC’s Work Canada and Gap Canada programmes offer eligible applicants aged 18 to 35, an exciting
opportunity to spend up to 12 months on a gap year or career break working holiday in Canada. Exclusive
to BUNAC, the 12-month Open Work Authorisation gives participants complete freedom to take any kind
of job, anywhere in Canada.
Working with BUNAC, the Fairmont Château Whistler is looking to recruit Work Canada and Gap Canada
participants in Scotland. One of Whistler’s most prestigious luxury resort hotels, it employs over 200 new
staff each year for the winter season. Vacancies exist in all areas of this full service resort, which has 550
guest rooms, three restaurants, a health club and spa, golf course and club house. Other facilities include
tennis courts, retail outlets and a business centre. Relevant work or educational experience is essential.
Fairmont Château Whistler staff accommodation is located in a prime spot next to Base II on Blackcomb
Mountain, a 20-minute walk from the resort hotel and boasts ski in, ski out access. The hotel will also
provide staff loans for seasonal lift passes.
