loosely rendered. As if this wasn’t daunting enough, we
were to cut the first painting vertically and the second hori-
zontally. The cuttings were random and executed in a curved
cutting line. Then we excitedly attempted to weave these two
paintings together in a pleasing fashion leaving little spaces for
the mat board to show through. This weaving was adhered to
the mat board with glue. There were struggles and squeals as
we prepared our finished products. Nancy was generous with
her time and with her materials. The end result was surprising
