A 'must read' for every new lawyer!
I am extremely satisfied with this book. It is well written and a useful resource for the new and
upstarting lawyer as well as for the freshman law student. It is a good introduction to what the
studying and use of law is all about. It focuses on the tools of "actual lawyering". It introduces the
young lawyer to the tools needed to understand how to address facts to arrive at plausibility. Unlike
other textbooks on the subjects, the reader is introduced to the canons and aids to interpretation and
also is taken through a short course on how to use them in actual situations in practice; exactly what
a young lawyer needs.
The book is all about what you are not well taught in law school, but are expected to pick up in
practice. It provides a good foundation upon which to build legal intellect. A must for everyone
hoping to read law. After reading this book, you should be comfortable with what "lawyering skills"
is all about.
