General Description
This 1981 hunter impala has an extremely good hull that shows very little signs of damage
or hard use. It has had very little use over the last 8 years, as the previous 2 owners did not
have many opportunities to use the boat on a regular basis. For the last 8 years the boat
was stored through the winter months with the rigging removed so although the standing
rigging was last changed in 1998 it has only been standing for a limited time and shows no
sign of deterioration. The outside of the hull still maintains a good shine and a good
underwater profile.
The inside of the boat is a different story .... The 2 main berths are in place and in good
condition. The 2 pilot berths have been removed, along with the head linings to facilitate
new interior coverings, so at present the inside of the boat is bare. The pilot berths are
present and can be refitted. All the berth cushions were recovered recently and are in good
condition.
The inboard engine is only 2/3 years old and has only done in the region of 200 hours and
has a box around the front incorporating the companion way steps.
With a little work refitting and trimming the inside of this boat, this would make a truely
nice impala and due to the condition of the hull could well make one of the best Impalas
around.
