Omaha Marathon Course Description and Points Measured
Start: 96 ’2” W of Sewer Inlet on S side of Mike Fahey St W of entrance to MECA lot B and E
of 12th Street. Entrants proceed E to 10th and turn S (right). Continue S on 10th to Capitol Ave.
Turn W (right) and find 1K 19’ 3” E of manhole on NE corner of 13th and Capitol Ave. Proceed
W on Capitol Ave. Find 16th St. Turn N (right) onto 16th St and proceed N on the W side of the
street. Find Mile 1, located Parellel with the N support structure of E bound I-480. Continue to
Cass St. Turn W (left) onto Cass and proceed to 19th (aka Florence Blvd). Turn N (right) and
proceed. Continue N on Florence past Cuming St and proceed to Mile 2 156’ 6” S of Clark St.
Continue N. Near Ohio St., Florence turn slightly to the NW and continues, as it merges with
20th St. Proceed N to Mile 3, located at the SE corner of Florence and Lothrup. Continue N to
Sprague and turn E (right). Proceed E on Sprague St to 16th St. Cross 16th St and turn S (right)
in the east lane. Continue S on 16th and find Mile 4 20’ 9” S of Manhole at 16th and Pratt.
Proceed S on 16th to Mile 5 21’ S of 16th and Yate. Proceed S across Cuming St. and turn E
(left) at Mike Fahey. Continue E on N side and Find Mile 6 19’ 9” W of sewer inlet at NW
corner of 13th and Mike Fahey. Proceed E on Mike Fahey to 10th St. Cross to the E side of 10th
and turn S (right) Proceed S on 10th and turn E (left) onto Capitol Ave. Continue E. Capitol Ave
turn to the S and becomes 8th St. Proceed S on 8th St to Farnam St. Turn to the W (right) at
Farnam and turn to the SE (left) into ConAgra going the wrong way on a one-way street. Find
Mile 7 15’ S of Sewer Inlet at the entrance to ConAgra at Farnam St. Proceed S Easterly thru
ConAgra Staying to the left. Exit onto Jones St going W, then turn to the S (right) onto 7th St.
Proceed S on 7th to Pacific St. Turn E (left) onto Pacific and proceed to 6th St. Turn S (right)
onto 6th and Find Mile 8 39’ N of alley way between Poppleton and Williams St. Continue S on
6th St to Bancroft St. Cross to the S side of Bancroft and turn W (right) Find Mile 9 located 29’
W of sewer inlet on S side of on Bancroft at 8th St. Continue W and turn S (left) onto 9th St.
Proceed S on 9th to Frederick St. Turn W (right) and then turn N (right) onto 10th. Proceed N on
10th past Bancroft and continue N on 10th to Mile 10 72’ S of sewer inlet on E side of 10th and
Center St. Continue N on 10th to Pierce and turn E (right) Continue E and turn N (left) onto
7thth St. Proceed N on 7th and find Mile 11 parallel with the E exit to the Harriman Parking Lot
at 7th and Jones. At Jones St. Turn E (right) and then proceed thru ConaAgra keeping to the
right. Exit ConAgra at Farnam St and turn E (right). Proceed E on Farnam and turn N (left)
onto 8th St. Continue N on 8th, which turns to the W and becomes Capitol Ave. Cross 10th St
and Proceed W on Capitol Ave. Find Mile 12, located 51’ E of Manhole E of 11th on Capitol
Ave. Continue W on Capitol Ave to 16th St. Turn N (right) onto 16th St and proceed N in the
East lanes. Proceed N to Cass St, turn W (left) and proceed to Florence Blvd. Turn N ( right
and proceed N on Florence. Find Mile 13 60’ 3” N of traffic signal at NE corner of Florence and
Burt. Continue on Florence to Mile 14, located 12’ N of Sewer Inlet at NE corner of Florence
and Lake. Proceed to Mile 15 located 78’ 10” S of Manhole in center of Florence South side of
Sprague St. Proceed past Ames Ave and Carter Blvd. Marathoners will be on the West side
running against traffic. Find Mile 16 50’ (“ N of fire hydrant N of Ellison and Florence on W
side of Florence. Continue on Florence past Reddick St. Find Mile 17 124’ 6” N of 2nd Lite on
W side of Florence N of Read. Turn W (left) on Sharon Dr Proceed W and turn SW ( left) onto
Minne Lusa Blvd. Entrants will be running in the East side of the Blvd. Continue to end of
Minne Lusa Blvd to Reddick St. Round the island to the right and proceed NE on the west side
of Minne Lusa Blvd. Find Mile 18 located 49’ 6” S of sewer inlet on Minne Lusa S of Titus St
(6816 Minne Lusa) Continue NE past Sharon Dr. and take Minne Lusa all the way to Florence
Blvd. Cross Florence and turn S (right) onto Florence. Entrants will continue to run opposed to
traffic. Proceed N. Find Mile 19 77’ S of sewer inlet on E side of Florence N of Newport (6715
Florence) Once Nearing the Sorensen/Storz Expressway, prepare to turn. Find Mile 20 just S
of the overpass 122’ 10” N of sewer inlet on Florence N or Browne. Runners will turn to the E
(left) onto Carter Blvd. Continue on Carter across 16th St. Continue on Levi Carter into the
park. Proceed E. Find Mile 21 located 36’ 3” E of 3rd wood power pole on the N side of Carter
E of the RR crossing. Road gradually turns to the ENE . Merge with Shore Blvd and proceed to
the ENE. Find Mile 22 located 7’ E of Metal lite pole at E entrance to boat launch parking on S
side of Shore Blvd. Turnaround is 84’ E of same pole. Turnaround and proceed W at this Point
and continue to W. At the Y where Carter Blvd and Shore merge, proceed to the SE (left) on
Shore, using the N side of the street. Find Mile 23 67’ 6” from metal light pole at west entrance
to parking lot at old brick park building and across from basketball court. Continue on Shore
and then turn W (right) onto Cornish. Proceed on Cornish to 16th St. Turn S (right) onto 16th.
Proceed S on 16th using the east lane. Find Mile 24 Exactly at manhole at 16th and Pratt St.
Proceed S on 16 and find Mile 25 2’ S of Yates St. Cross Cuming St and prepare for the finish.
Turn E (right) onto Mike Fahey and proceed E on the N side of the street. Find Mile 26 38’ W
of sewer inlet on NW corner of 13th and Mike Fahey. Turn NE ( left) into Lot C on East side of
TD Ameritrade Park and find Finish, located at expansion joint running E-W in the lot at the 3rd
light Pole from the South in the center of the parking lot.
