TV 2 Sport is a joint venture between TV 2 Denmark (51%) and MTG (49%). The channel, launched in Spring 2007, replaced MTG's Viasat Sport (launched in 2002).

In the terrestrial network, MUX 1 and 2 are for public service television. MUX 1 includes DR1, DR2, TV 2, plus a fourth channel including nationwide transmissions for sign language for deaf and hearing-impaired (17h00-
20h00); regional transmissions from the eight TV 2 regions (20h00-21h00); and private non-commercial nationwide and regional TV (21h00-17h00). Nationwide non-commercial tv broadcast total three hours in this time
frame, the remaining hours are regional non-commercial tv.

Eight regional windows in TV 2, based on independent stations (independent legal persons). They carry commercials, from which TV 2 receives the revenue. The eight regions have also been granted an additional hour in
MUX1 (20h00-21h00), and from 2012 they will have their own channel in MUX 1. See note 7.
