An die Musik!
(German Music Project)
Due Friday, November 12
Whether it is elegant classical music, hard rock, or traditional folk songs, Germans love
music in all of its various forms. You will choose a German singer, band, or composer and
give a presentation about them in front of the class. You may choose to work alone or with
another student. Presentations must be at least 10 minutes. Be sure to include the
following:
1. Two types of visual presentation: 1) power point and 2) your choice of the following:
poster, video, Guitar Hero performance, pictures of group, etc. Be creative!
2. Audio or video examples so we can hear what the music sounds like. To save you tube
videos on a flash drive, use www.keepvid.com.
3. Sample lyrics and translation of the lyrics.
4. In your power point, include essential information about the musician(s). This
includes but is not limited to: Names of the members, when and where the group was
formed, their greatest hits, etc. Then choose 3 songs, show us the lyrics, and translate
them for us. It is better to have too much information than too little!
