 Introduction: Biomes are classified primarily according to the characteristics of their plants.
Biomes also are characterized by temperature and precipitation. Animal species are an
important characteristic of biomes as well. Climatic factors that affect biomes are latitude,
elevation, prevailing winds, and ocean currents.


Objective: Student will be able to compare nine different biomes in terms of abiotic factors
           including climate, dominant plants and animals, and geographic distribution.

Procedure

1. Fill in the information using pages 68-72 in your textbook.

2. Graph average temperature connecting plotted point with a line and plot the
   precipitation as a bar graph. See example below.




3. Answer summary questions.

4. Using the climographs for each biome, calculate the temperature range which
   equals the highest average temp minus the lowest average temp. .
