5 Rules to avoid trouble
RULE #1: don’t let your need be governed by your greed. When your
motivation is greed, you will often fall for all kinds of well written HYPE!
There are literally thousands of Get Rich Quick Schemes. If it
sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I have fallen for this many times.
When an ad offers thousands of dollars in just a few days, the only truth is
that the originator of the program is going to make this - NOT you.
RULE #2: don’t use quick submission services. “Your add in 10,000,000
ezines”. Your ad will be put on every FFA (Free for All pages) on the Internet.
This will result in your email in-box filled with thousands of spam emails and
your virus software will be overloaded!
RULE #3: Do NOT spam or fall for “Buy my email list and send your ad
to 24,000,000 opt-in subscribers”. These are harvested “SPAM” lists
that will result in more trouble than you can handle and possibly shut
down of your website.
RULE #4: Make sure that you signup for affiliate programs that offer
a legitimate product or service. Do a little homework before you make
a decision to join.
RULE #5: Don’t fall for “This offer expires at Midnight tonight. Get in
Now or loose” This is a squeeze page that is designed to intimidate you
into fast action. 9 times out of 10, I have revisited these pages and
found the exact same message.
There are many more “rules” that you will learn as you progress. Don’t
give up. Simply use the brain that God gave you!

Life of an
Affiliate Mar-
keter - Your
Story!
Being a full-time affiliate marketer is much easier now
compared to the days when people had to make use of the
telephones, bulk mail and other mediums of information just to
contact their readers with their latest content or pro- motion.
So with technology at hand, and assuming you are an affiliate
marketer working from home, a day in your life would sound
something like this…
Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer is
turned on to check out new developments in your niche
markets and to check your emails for important tasks. There
may be new things to update and statistics to keep track of.
The site design has to be revised. You know that a well-
designed site can increase sign ups from visitors. It can also
help in the affiliate's conversion rates. That done, it is now
time to submit your affiliate program and an article you have
written to the relevant online directories. These directories are
a means of attracting people to join your list or affiliate
program.
Time to track down the sales you are getting from your
promotions. There are orders and emails to track down. See if
there are new clients checking the products out and to take
note of contact information that might be a viable source in the
future.
There are lots of resources to sort out and new products to
review. You need to develop solo ads, or write an honest
product recommendation for your next promotions, as you know
that this is a proven way of ensuring more sales. It is always best
to stay visible and accessible.
You suddenly remember that there are questions to answer
from your visitors. This has to be done quickly. Nothing can
turn off a customer more than an unanswered email or slack
support responses.
Product inquiries have to be paid more attention. Nobody wants
to be ignored and customers are not always the most patient of
all people. Quick answer should appear professional, yet
personal.
In the process of doing all the necessities, you log into a forum
where you interact with other affiliates or those who just need
help in getting started. This is where you can discuss things
such as how to best promote your products, network with
likeminded marketers or brand yourself to other readers.
Teamwork is an
important part of
success
Sharing tips and advices is a good way of showing support. There
may be others out there wanting to join and may be enticed by the
discussion that is going on. There is no harm in taking advantage of
these opportunities in forums if it is done correctly and ethically.
The newsletters and ezines were updated yester- day, so it is time
to see if there are some new developments happening in the
market that you can update your list on. This will be written as new
content, which will be distributed to your customers tomorrow.
This same content is also an important tool in keeping up to
date with the newly introduced products or strategies that are
working so as to keep your list informed of recent
developments. This helps to build trust and credibility with your
readers.
It is time to show some appreciation to those who have helped
you in your promotions or sales. Nothing like mentioning a
person, their sites and the process they used to get real results.
As they say, the proof is in the pudding, so it helps credibility if
you can prove what you are teaching actually works by using real
life examples.

Of course, this will be published in the next news- letter - among
the more important information that you have written already.
The marketer still has time to write out recommendations to those
who want credible sources for the products being promoted, i.e. a
testimonial. (Only do this if you actually found it beneficial).
There is also time to post some comments on how to be a
successful affiliate marketer on a site where there are lots of
people looking for help, such as popular forums or blogs, etc.
Two objectives done at the same time. The marketer gets to
promote the product, as well as the program they are in. Who
knows, someone may be inclined to join.
Time flies. You just missed lunch, but you are quite contented
with the tasks done. Your work is done for the day. Now it's time
to play. You take the rest of the day off to relax or spend some
time with your loved ones. Take them out to see a movie or to the
park. You've earned the rest.
Find a
Mentor.
Learn to be a
Mentor.
Ok, so this may not be exactly what most marketers do each
day, but it gives you an idea of how a successful affiliate
marketer spends his or her time.
All you need to do to be in this position is to find a successful
online marketer who has "been there, done that" and then learn
from what he or she has to teach. But most importantly you
MUST IMPLEMENT what you learn.
It will take time. Probably more time that you first think, so
give yourself a bit of flexibility to reach your goals. If you're
very serious and take action, there is no reason why you too
can't live the lifestyle of an online marketer.
Is that success looming in the distance?
Remember, success is not measured by the amount of

last 15 years or so that I could make money at

Everyone likes to make money. Everybody knows that it takes
money to survive. It takes money to live well. Money is a tool for
us to use to get the things that we need and the things we want.
Unfortunately sometimes the necessity for money overrides our
sensibilities and we are consumed with a passion to make
money. Money becomes the master.
This may seem strange but our attitude towards money can
determine how much of it we will win. If we make money the
focal point of our endeavors, we make wrong decisions and
often fall for things that we know in our hearts are wrong.
First let me state that success is not measured by the amount
of material wealth that we ac- quire. It is measured by the
amount of balance we attain between our physical selves and
our spiritual selves.
We must ask ourselves a question. Am I a physical being who
sometimes has a spiritual experience or am I a spiritual being
who is now having a physical experience? Before we can begin
a journey, we need to know where the starting point lies. Keep
reading and soon all of this will begin to make sense.
The very best advice for becoming successful comes directly
from the Holy Scriptures. In the book of Jeremiah, God tells
Jeremiah, who doubts his ability to be successful, something
that changed my opinion of myself.
He told Jeremiah, “I knew you before you were conceived in
your mother’s womb.” Think about that. God knew Jeremiah,
He knew me, and He knew you before we became physical
beings.
To me, this was an immense revelation. I realized that my
essence, my core state of being is spiritual. Just like my
physical body needs to be nourished and exercised, my
spiritual self has the same needs.
In order for me to find success, I needed to find balance
between my physical being and my spiritual being. Read on
and we’ll go on an adventure. Our goal is harmony because
harmony will facilitate our success.
The Prescription for Success Read, study,
research, learn, dedication, desire, willingness to
put forth a little effort. Follow directions!
Discovering the essential parts of my “self” was the beginning
of my path to success. Understanding that, in order for me to
be successful, I needed to work on balancing my primary
spiritual self with my secondary physical self. I needed to keep
my physical body healthy and, just as importantly, I needed to
keep my spiritual self healthy.
In modern society, it’s not easy to admit that we need
spiritual and physical balance. We are sophisticated, educated
and liberated. Unfortunately, in our effort to be the” captain”
of our own destiny, we lose site of the true source of
principles that will guide us to the success in life that we need
so very much. We refuse to relinquish control of the wheel,
even when we know that we are headed to- ward the rocks of
ruin and destruction. Every good captain relies on the
guidance of a good navigator.
Right now, at the beginning of our journey, we need to take
the advice of the best navigator that is available to us. For
me, I can only tell you what I know works, my navigator is
Christ.
From my personal experience, I have amassed a vast knowledge
of what not to do. Also I have discovered something that has
catapulted me into the fast track to success. I want to share both
with you.
I know that you’re anxious to get to the “good” stuff. Be assured
that even the bad stuff is good stuff to know. When you know
that there is a pothole in the road, you know to avoid it. By not
avoiding the potholes and pitfalls, you avoid success. Be patient.
Patience is a virtue.
I’m not going to dwell on the negative but I want you to be aware
of some “negative motivations” that seem pretty and the right
thing to do but will ultimately delay your advancement on the
road to success.
First of all, if you are not ready to devote some time to
“working” these strategies, you may as well put this book down
and continue stumbling down the road. Maybe after 10 or 15
years of potholes, pitfalls and wasted cash and time, you’ll pick
it up again. There’s a train coming! You need to stop, look and
listen. Read on! You’ll be glad you did. I guarantee it!
Pothole #1. The smooth talker. I know that you know that
there are literally thousands of smooth talking con artists out
there.
Just look at the number of Biz Ops web sites and newsletters
there are out on the Internet. I’m not kidding. There was a time
that my inbox was filled with this newsletter and that newsletter.
All of them selling ad space to every Tom Dick and Harry who
would fork over money. 95% of them have 0% integrity.
Don’t misunderstand. There are scores of really good email
newsletters that operate legitimately and offer great
information. Weeding thru the mess is the time consuming
problem.
How many times have you heard - “Make tons of money in 2
weeks and fire your boss!” - “This is the sure fire best
Internet Program ever. No work, it’s automated and it’ll make
you a ton of money in no time.” “ Six Figure income with no
work, no effort. You get everything FREE!” Etc.
You’ve seen them; everyone in the universe has seen them.
They all work! (For the guy who initiates them but not for the
poor schmuck who falls for the pitch!)
There is a bunch of money being made and an even greater
amount being lost (wasted) by people who are letting their
greed control their brains. Don’t fall for all of the crap ads you
see. If it sounds too good to be true - it isn’t. I’ve done a lot of
accidental research. I know that the vast majority of these things
don’t work.
I’ve created cheesy web sites with a hundred affiliate links that
sat dead in the water. Why do you think all of these guys want
you to sell their products for them?
For all of you who are interested, I will show you how to create
your own “information product” that you can sell, give away or
do whatever.
In fact, I’ll even give you a few. Later on I’ll tell you about them.
Don’t skip ahead and try to find out what it is. If you do, you’ll
miss the point.
Remember, patience is a virtue. I want you to understand the
principles first so you’ll be able to appreciate the value of this
information.
Timing is key. Education is vital, and personal development is
essential to creating success. Please read ALL of this
information.
Pothole #2 - “Easy, no learning a system necessary. We’ll do all
of the work for you! “Have you run across a few of these
programs that tell you that it’s so easy that their 7 yr old child
could do it?
Do not be foolishly lead into a false sense of security that this
wonderful company started by a guy who has now made millions
of $ on the Internet is not only going to disclose to you ALL of his
hard earned secrets but He’s created a system that’s going to do
all of the work for you. Aren’t we fortunate to have someone
who cares so much about us!
I am, later, going to let you in on something that will work for
you. It’s working for me in an amazing way. I’m going to be
honest and up front with you, though. I’m going to show you
how to become successful. Actually we’re going to make each
other successful. I’m not doing this for free. If you see that this
will take you where you want to be, I’m going to give you a
head start. Not only that, I’m going to be your personal
