s Guide SA2 Alarm System User' Understanding the SA2 Controller SA2 Controller Overview The Controller is the heart of the Alarm system, the most important part. The SA2 Controller is the smallest Alarm System Controller in the world. This allows you to hide the controller in places like cabinets, wardrobes or behind furnitures. Hiding the controller has an advantage in that it makes it much more difficult for a burglar or robber to find it and compromise your alarm system. The controller has orange lights numbered 1 – 7. This shows the 7 zones of your house / office. When all the doors and windows are closed, all the 7 lights should be lit. When any of the doors are open, the light for that zone will go off. When the controller is arming it will beep every second until the time is up to arm. ( depending on setting ). Then it will arm if all the doors and windows are closed. Using The SA2 Keypad Keypad Overview The SA2 keypad is a very useful tool in the SA2 alarm system. Unlike other alarm system's keypad, it includes a LCD Display with back light and a touch key sensor. The LCD display provides information on many things about your alarm system. On the display, you can see a list of numbers 1234567 which indicates which zones are closed and which zones are open. Arming and Disarming You should arm the system before going out of your house or office. To Disarm the alarm system, touch the keypad with the iKey, the display will show System Disarmed. To Arm the alarm system, touch the keypad again, the display will show Arming... for about 2 minutes before arming. Alternatively, without the key, you can use the keypad to arm and disarm the alarm system. To arm or disarm the system, Press # key Key in the password Press # key again. The display will toggle between System Disarmed or Arming... for about 2 minutes before arming. Fast Arming Method Sometimes you don't 2 minutes to get out of the house, for example when going to bed. In this case you can do the Fast Arm procedure. To do that, just hold the Key 1 on the keypad for about 2 secs and release it when you hear a beep. The system should arm within 3 seconds. Note : If one of the doors or window is left open, the system will not arm until all zones are closed. Panic ! s attention. The Panic function is used to scare off robbers or burglars and to attract your neighbor' Should the unfortunate happen, hold down the 5 key for about 2 seconds and the siren will sound. To off the siren, use the iKey or key in the password. Using your Mobile Phone If the alarm is triggered, it will call your hand phone if it is connected to a phone line. When your phone rings, answer it and listen to the number of beeps. The number of beeps will tell you which zone was triggered. To sound the siren, press the * key. To stop the siren, press #. If you press the # key, it will not call the second mobile phone. Aborting the Call When You Enter If the system is calling your phone when you reach home, you can touch the keypad with the key to abort the call. This will save you one phone call charges. Touch the key again to disarm the Alarm System. When you do this, it will no longer call the second mobile phone. It will also not sound the siren, no matter what siren mode was set in the controller. Using The Touch Panel The Touch Panel is an optional acessory in the SA2 Alarm System. It is low cost yet very useful to have. It also comes with a Panic Button. You can install more than 1 touch panel with your SA2 Alarm System. To use the Panic button, press and hold it down for 2 secs. The siren should sound. Whenever the siren sounds, you can use your key to touch the panel to stop the siren. To start arming, you can also touch the panel with your key. Note : You can install a touch panel under your desk to prevent daytime robberies.
