At a cost of about $325,000,000 the long awaited new stadium in Foxboro is now complete. Although it opened for soccer in April, the official grand opening of this state-of-the-art facility is scheduled for tomorrow night, with the Patriots season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The main entrance was designed to capture the flavor of New England. A bridge, constructed to resemble Boston’s famed Longfellow Bridge, connects to the lighthouse. At night games, a vertical beam of light will be cast from this structure and will be visible for miles.
