VACATING INFORMATION
The following information explains what Tule Apartments requests and expects each tenant to
follow upon vacating his/her apartment:
Tule Apartments maintenance will fill nail holes in walls and do touch up painting at no
cost to you when you move out.
Do not repaint the walls.
We use a specific color and type of paint for our apartments.
Do not dump large items, such as furniture, boxes, etc., in the dumpsters
OR leave them by the dumpsters. Take them either to the dump, recycling, or
One of the local thrift stores, whichever is appropriate.
Cleaning the apartment is appreciated, but not necessary unless you want your deposit
back.
Give your forwarding address to the Tule Apartments office.
We will need this information to better process your deposit return and/or forward any
mail to you.
Turn in keys to the office the day you said you would vacate.
We consider an apartment vacant when keys are returned. The security deposit refund
cannot be processed until all keys are returned.
Have mail forwarded.
A Change-of-Address form will need to be completed with the United States Post Office
in order to have your mail forwarded. The forms are available at the Post Office or
online at http://www.usps.gov.moversnet
Have phone, internet and dish or cable services cancelled and dish satellites removed.
For phone numbers to the phone and cable companies, see your Tenant Information
Sheet.
Contact Avista Utilities for a final meter reading and to remove your name from the
account. Arrangements can be made ahead of time for the day you plan to vacate your
apartment.
Set up professional carpet cleaning with your choice of any of the local companies.
Please be advised that it is usually best to plan and take care of moving details in advance, due to
the timing delays that may occur for utility companies or carpet cleaning companies at busier
