					                  INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE PROPERTY TAX ESTIMATOR
                  (This estimator calculates only the Roaring Fork School District portion of your property tax bill)
To use this tax calculator, you will need the Actual Market Value according to your Notice of Valuation for both 2011 and 2010. If
you do not have your Notices of Valuation, you may obtain the values from the Assessor website in your particular county. The
assessor websites provide a property search feature. You can typically search by owner name or address. The addresses for
these websites are as follows:

                                   Garfield County           www.garfield-county.com/assessor/
                                   Eagle County              www.eaglecounty.us/Assessor/
                                   Pitkin County             www.aspenpitkin.com/Departments/Assessor

Enter the Actual Values (NOT Assessed Values) for the appropriate years in the red boxes below. Be sure to use the correct
calculator for commercial or residential property.

The calculator will determine the School District portion of your 2011 tax bill in the yellow cell. It will also calculate the projected
2012 tax bill with the School District's proposed mill levy override and without the School District's proposed mill levy override in
the green cells. The tax amounts for 2012 are estimates and may vary slightly depending on final county-wide assessed values.
