Zero Book Project
Due: April 3rd, 2009
In this project you will have to read and review Zero: The Biography of a
Dangerous Idea by Charles Seife. The book involves the history of zero as a
number and an idea. Your review should include, but not be limited to, the
following points
Overall opinions regarding the book
Specific parts of the book you found interesting
Specific parts of the book you found confusing
Any insights you have gained into the history of mathematics
Any criticism you have regarding the book
The review should be typed, double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman
Font with 1” margins (top/bottom/sides). Length for the paper is one to two
pages. I am hopeful that you will include your thoughts, feelings, opinions,
and criticisms. Please keep your comments focused and not broad based.
Your submission must include verification from the writing center that your
paper has been reviewed.
This project is worth 40 points and will be included in your 3 rd Marking
Period Grade. I will happily accept early submissions.
