What is Netiquette?
Netiquette is the code of the Internet
that applies to chat rooms, e-mails,
and instant messages.
Why do we need it?
Because if we didn’t, there could be
an invasion of privacy and other bad
things could occur. Besides, you
might get reported for bad
netiquette.
Rules of Netiquette
1. Remember the human
2. Follow the same standards as you in real life
3. Know where you are in cyberspace
4. Respect other peoples time and bandwidth
5. Make yourself look good online
6. Share expert knowledge
7. Help keep flame wars under control
8. Respect other people’s privacy
9. Don’t abuse you power
10. Be forgiving of other people’s mistakes
Why is it important?
In order to avoid embarrassment.
always follow the rules of Netiquette,
in order to have a good conversation
with your friends.
