Phoebe’s Reflection

I love to buy gachapon, however I had no idea about the operation of

gachapon shop before the project.

During the project, I have learnt more about business. For instance, I

have had a clear understanding about the expenditure and the income of a

shop which I have had no idea before. Also, I have known that to start a

business, so many aspects have to be considered, including the location and

the target customers. This gave me a brief concept about business which is

useful for my future business.

On the other hand, I have learnt more about gachapon. For instance, I

have known that there are different prices of gachapon, etc. These have

increased my interest in gachapon.

In addition, I have learnt how to cooperate with others. In fact, I had

already handled some of the skills in the first term. But as the group

members this time were different, I needed to apply the skills to

cooperate with them. And during the project, I have learnt more.

Overall, I have learnt much during this project and they are useful for

my future studies. Also, I think this project was interesting and I would

like to have another similar project in the future.

Vivian’s Reflection

I think this project is very interesting and fresh to me. At the beginning,

I have no idea of how to set up a shop because I have no such experience

about opening a shop. I have learned many other new things during this

project. When I’m doing this project, I have searched many information

and it help me to understand more about the knack of manage a shop. I

have learned how to set up and to operate a shop. And also I have learned

how to communicate to my group mates. Lastly, I have learned more about

the market in Hong Kong.

I have met some difficulty in doing this project. First, we have less than

half a month to finish this project, and we have many homework in these

day. So we have allocated the job and do it in a hurry. Second, we all have

no experience about opening a shop about GACHAPON. And GACHAPON is

very common in Japan but not in Hong Kong. So we have to take a long time

to find the information. Lastly, during our discussion, there have some

argument because we have different ideas. But the last we can solve

problems easily because we all respect others.

Sally’s Reflection

I have learnt many extra things in this project. This things I can not

learnt in lessons,I can only learnt in when I am fining the information for

this project. I can learn how to manage a shop, how to work on it.

I quite like this project because it is very interesting and free. It is

interesting because the project let us to think what we want to do or

business, it within the limit, and so we can open any kind of shop what

ever we like!It is really feel so free.Although the shop may be not real,

but it is really feel so authentic. We need to find the price of the shop,

flooring, wall and even we need to find the information of the products

we want to sell.

All the things just like we really need to open a shop by our own.

Although finding the information of the things we need are quite

complicated and difficult, but we can still do it.And although we have

some argument in the product we sell in the shop, but at last we can still

understand and cooperate with each other. We can learn how to respect

each other during the project.

I enjoy having this project!

Joanna’s Reflection

Being students, we do not have chance to operate a business. But the

project this time is different with those before, we have a budget for

establishing the business.

Every thing including the business type, location, price setting, etc are

decided by us.

We are not students anymore but every one of us is the boss. We

have to think of a lot of factors that may earn more profits and try our

best to control the expenditure, not to over budget. I think we can’t learn

this kind of skills in our textbooks and lesson. But after doing this project,

I know why my parents always said that money is not easy to get. I think

this is absolutely right now. Operating business involves risks and we

should draft our plan as perfect as we can.

Perhaps not all of us will become a boss in the future, but this is

really a fantastic experience being a business owner. I think most of us

have not been connected with such a large amount of money. During the

projects, I completely put in the role as a boss. In order not to not to cause

a loss of capital in business, we made each of the decision seriously and

thought about the effect deeply. What we concerned about is how to use

the least expenditure but earn the most profits.

Lastly, this project we prepared in a short period. But my group still has

enough time to finish a quite successful report. I think the duties

allocation is important before we started doing the project, so that our

project can work out efficiently.

However, we all work hard in the project during this short period. But

there are still some improvements for me. I should not spend too much

time to concentrate in only one work each time. I think I can do better in

the next project. I want to be a responsible group member and also a

profitable boss.

Joanne’s reflection

When I received the instruction of this project, I was very nervous. “ To

start you own business and draft a business plan” is the title of the

project.

“I have no experiences in business, how can I set up my own business?” I

asked myself. I used to think that this is a really difficult task.

We first think of our business, we decided to set up a gaschapon shop

because we think that we can make profits. And gaschapon is so popular in

HK, so we are familiar with this.

During the project, we need to do a lot of investigation, like finding

newspapers, websites which are related to our business. This gives me a

chance to know more about gaschapon. And especially the way to operate a

shop, I am sure that it’s useful in my future.

Besides, finding location for our shop is one of the most interesting

experiences. We need to make sure that the site of our shop has a strong

potential, like the transport facilities. Once we found a suitable shop, I

phoned to the agent and ask for the rental price, area of the shop etc.

I enjoy doing this project, I feel that I really learn a lot that are not

mentioned in books.
