Book Bits
Directions: Cut these sentences out and give each student 1-2 sentences. Have the
students read their sentence and think of how it relates to the story. Have each student
share their sentence with the group.
They were always working, always struggling.
Birds sang and brought them food.
“We’re turning into birds!”
Alone, without his friend, he was heartbroken.
Paradise lost is sometimes Heaven found.
“A guy could live like this forever.”
But ripe fruit soon spoils.
“I don’t want to be a bird!”
