lades keep rolling in. ScoreGolf, Globe & Mail, Toronto Sun and other publications have given PEI numerous awards as Canadaʼs Top Golfing Destination and one of the finest vacation spots in all of North America. Itʼs easy to see why. PEI has much to offer anyone who loves to play golf, and even more to offer anyone who wants to kick back and truly enjoy themselves. Make no mistake - the golf is great; PEIʼs famous scenic beauty. Prince Edward Island has been named Canadaʼs #1 Golf Destination for good reason. Our courses offer superb play, outstanding service, convenient booking, and great value. Plus the one time when a short drive is just perfect for your game. We look forward to welcoming you to Prince Edward Island. Harry Simmonds, President, Golf PEI

indeed, itʼs exceptional. But thereʼs a lot more to a Prince Edward Island vacation than golf. If relaxation is what you have in mind, this is the place. Miles of sandy beaches overlook your choice of the Northumberland Strait or the Gulf of St. Lawrence … and thereʼs always a quiet spot to be found. Or you can explore one of the many scenic drives that take you to secluded coves, quaint fishing villages and let you enjoy the pastoral beauty of the Island.
Better still, with PEIʼs compact size you can tour all day and still be only minutes from where youʼre staying. The great outdoors has much to keep you busy. The 300 kilometre Confederation Trail is one of the finest biking paths in the country and itʼs also a favourite for walkers and joggers. Add to that the Prince Edward Island National Park, kayaking, fishing, horse racing, windsurfing ... youʼre more likely to run out of time than run out of options. As one of Canadaʼs oldest settled areas, history and culture greets

a number of member based courses that are fully open to the public. Great golfing, with the added benefit of being able to play alongside local players who can give you tips on just about every possible shot on the course. Great value. While the courses may prove a challenge, the costs will not. Without exception, Golf PEI courses are available for play at fees that are surprisingly modest

considering the calibre of course, amenities and service. exceptional value and service. A top quality golfing experience for any level of player can be had at a cost that compares favourably with other golf hot spots. Very favourably. Service? Well, letʼs just say that a visit to a PEI golf course is a lot like dropping in at your favourite auntʼs house – you can tell theyʼre glad to see you. Yes, the golf is great, but it really is only one aspect of your vacation experience. Come to PEI. Youʼll never look at a Golf Destination the same.
visitors at every turn. Whether itʼs a visit to Green Gables, the setting that inspired the Anne Shirley stories of L.M. Montgomery or Charlottetownʼs Province House Historic Site, the Island is rich with history. Stories of the Acadian settlers, the glory days of wooden shipbuilding, the rags to riches silver fox industry and other tales are captured in local museums and historic sites. If you need more food for thought, consider the incredible local cuisine. With an abundance of exceptional chefs (PEI is home to the Culinary Institute of Canada, an internationally recognized school of the culinary arts), the best of local delicacies take on entirely new dimensions. From the sea, our lobster, Island Blue mussels, oysters, soft-shell clams and scallops are simply extraordinary. And the summer harvest of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, cherries, plums and more make the perfect end to the perfect meal. Then, not to be outdone, thereʼs the golf. It takes your vacationing expe-
rience to a whole different level. Truly spectacular. A range of more than twenty courses, all within 90 minutes of the centre of the Island. Championship courses that have tested the likes of Mike Weir, John Daley and Fred Couples. Courses that are so scenic you can be distracted from even the most perfect of drives. Links style or traditional country club layouts. 18 hole masterpieces and 9 hole gems. Whatever your game, whatever your interest, PEI has the course for you. One of the most attractive features of golf in PEI is the

Island is a love affair just waiting to happen. Variety. Twenty courses, from links-style courses to traditional, championship calibre to family fun. No matter what your game or what your budget, we have courses youʼll fall in love with. Stunning beauty. PEI courses are built to take full advantage of one of the most beautiful pastoral settings on the planet. You can be beside the sea, in the middle of the woods, adjacent to fields of wheat...and not yet arrived at the 8th hole. Convenience. Every one of our courses is located within ninety minutes of the centre of the Island. In minutes, you can leave wherever you are on PEI and be at a golf course. Challenging. The toughest tests are just that - tests. Ask Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson what they thought of their Legends of Golf match here in 2006 and theyʼll tell you that a round of golf in PEI is no cakewalk. Tough, but fair. And very rewarding when you get it right. These championship courses take full advantage of the Islandʼs rolling hills and coastline. Youʼll want to plan your shots carefully to make sure your feet are level... and dry. And when you get to the green, take care. The pace of life on PEI may be slower than most, but the pace of our greens is not. Friendly. Unlike many other golf resort areas, PEI is proud to offer a day, a week, or the entire summer and all fall, youʼll fall in love with it. Guaranteed.

play their round of nine s much as holes ... and then play it again! A more casual style of play prevails on Island Nines. And thatʼs a good thing, because it allows people whose golfing skills are still in development to enjoy the day, enjoy the course and enjoy themselves without pressure. Featuring some of the most scenic golfing venues in all of PEI, you can find Island Nines courses within a few minutes drive no matter where you are on PEI. As you would expect, the fees at Island Nines courses make it very easy to add a round of golf to your day.

people enjoy the game, 18 holes of golf is not always the answer. When thatʼs the case, Island Nines could be exactly what you need. And unlike some 9 hole layouts, our Island Nines give you golf without compromise. These six, superb 9 hole layouts are as good a test of golfing skills as you will find anywhere. Excellent quality fairways, true but tricky greens, and some daunting hazards combine to make the challenges of your round no different from a full 18 holes, except that it takes less time. Given the quality of these courses, it will come as no surprise to learn that much of the play on Island Nines comes from people who

St. Felix Golf and Country Club
Graham Cooke & Associates have designed St. Felix Golf & Country Club to be a memorable 9 hole challenge for golfers of every handicap. The course location is a short drive from Alberton and minutes from the community of Tignish. On the off chance that golf is not the only activity you planned for your Island vacation, the course is located just one and a half miles from the beautiful beaches of Donahue Shores.

Red Sands Golf Course
For those who donʼt require a “level playing field”, Red Sands Golf Course presents an uncommon golf challenge. Club selection is important, so bring your best game for a short course on game management. Red Sands Golf Course is located on Rte. 107 (Kerrytown Road), off Rte. 6, just 15 minutes from Summerside and Cavendish. ScoreGolf Magazine, May 2003 “One of your BEST BETS for 9 holes”.
