Alliteration

ALLITERATION is a pattern in which the same sound is repeated at the beginning of

most of the words in a sentence.



Example: Several sneaky snakes slithered silently across the sand Sunday to reach the

sunlight.

Materials Letters of the alphabet, placed in a bag



Directions:



Draw a letter from the bag, using the letter you have drawn write a sentence using

alliteration



Line 1 WHO The subject = (several sneaky) snakes

Line 3 WHERE Where did it happen? = (across the) sand



Line 4 WHEN When did it happen? = (on) Sunday
