This plan of the Sultana voyage I most certainly understood was as follows that

the owners of said vessel were to furnish ⅓ of cargo + us ⅔ only one third however of

which to be […]5 negotiated by […]6 on Phila us a great portion of the goods shipped

could be purchased on a long credit + the return funds in hand to meetseen7 purchases—

The above ideas I have confirmed by my understanding with my fathers as well as

by my letter of 14th in answer to yours of 13h

I shall leave this to morrow for your city + hope to be with you on Wednesday pr

Thursday, there appears to be some misunderstanding respecting this business but I

forsee no difficulty whatever in arranging all satisfactorily when I arrive with you

Yours to haved of yesterday + contents noted – your dfs13 on me or NEH14

as 4 mos15 for ⅓ and of cargo to be shipped for Sultana to our address in RS will meet

due honor + at maturity be pd16 by my dfs17 on you at same night, which I can always

negotiate here

1000 cash I could arrange if necessary, to be advanced on the far18 out, but hope you can

do without this, as it may cause me some little trouble, however do not let this put off the

voyage —

I recd a few lines from […]19 under date of 12, in which he rated he could not

communicate the bargain withyou – I enclose you a letter for him which I wish you to

read — the sealed, as I did so before recd of yours – shall trust eternity to you in having

all […]20 in this business + would not enter at all in it unless Insurance can be readily

effected.

I should like to have copy of Mo Forrest21 as well as B/s22 for […]23
