Methodology/Transaction of Syllabus/Innovations / best practices (if any)/ industrial

thereby:
Strengths :
As a number of students in the institute are small in number , we maintain close
contact with the students on a day to day basis and promote the gurukul atmosphere
in the campus. The distinct feature of the college is it has a large spacious
infrastructure in the city and associated facilities for academic and games etc. The
institute promoted total personality development through a variety of extra-curricular
and co-curricular activities. As the institute is one of the many institutions under the
St. Francis educational Centre, educational interaction is possible with all the other
students in the campus through cultural programmes and other extra curricular
activities. Proximity to industries helps in constant industry-institute interaction.
One of the major motto of St. Francis Institute of Management and Research is
Enterpreneurship development and many of the institutes programmes are focused on
this theme. Therefore the students are given entrepreneurial orientation in their
training. A vide a variety of pedagogy and teaching methods are used because of
access of a number of teaching packages and case studies and computer programmes
available in the Computer centre and Library and experienced teachers
Weaknessnes:
Lack of autonomy for deciding the intake, fees, syllabus etc acts as weakness because
the institute is under the state and University.
