PowerPoint Storyboard and Tips
Fonts be consistent - don't switch fonts and colours just because
go big with font size (use 24-44 size)
don't use italics or underline words to emphasize
use Upper and Lowercase Letters Combined - never ALL CAPS
Arial is your friend - don't go fancy
Content keep it simple
not too much information per slide
think about 6x7 rule - six lines of text and seven words per line
don't use too many pictures - Clipart is no substitute for content
don't use sounds or "fun" transitions - they are distracting
use bullets and number lists where needed
spell check
Appearance be consistent - keep same backgrounds and fonts throughout
size = importance - the more important something is the bigger it should be
think about the people at the back of the room when designing slides
when in doubt - move your chair away from your screen about 2m and look
at you presentation - if you can read it easily you're OK
