   V.     Open Forum-
          a. Dr. Sylvi Tiala and Wan Bae with CORE (Creative Research Experiences)
             presented for (CUR) Council on Undergraduate Research. This was to inform
             Senate that CUR is a funded organization and the process that it took in order to
             get to this point. They are requesting help in spreading the word about CUR and
             are holding an information session in order to get feedback from students.

   VIII. Reports
         a.	 President-Lubke

                  1.	   Looking for one individual to sit on the campus violence prevention
                        committee. The committee meets twice a semester and if interested talk
              with President Lubke after the meeting. He also discussed differential
              tuition and the idea that Stout is looking into this method. There will be
              more information in future meetings. Lastly our website is getting a
              redesign, and on September 20 t \ student input is welcomed. There will be
              free pizza and discussion in the MSC at noon.
b.	   Vice President-Steele
          1.	 The bike share program is almost finished and Stout students will soon be
              able to rent bikes from this program. It is $40.00 to rent a bike and it can
              be serviced at any time, free of charge. The Academic Affairs committee
              will also start meeting regularly next week. Meeting time will be
              determined in the upcoming week
c.	   Director of Legislative Affairs- Kuettel
          i.	 Currently collaborating with Eau Claire to get a debate on October i h with
              the candidates. Also, Senator Feingold will be in Eau Claire this Sunday
              so go and watch. A campus e-mail will also be sent out it the specific
              times and information. Each week also will have local, state and
              University news posted on Campus Life Today.
d.	   Director of Organizational Affairs- Fritz
          i.	 Over the summer prep work went into the binders as well as daily office
              operations. PeopleSoft was also converted to OrgSync and all
              organizations are up to date on OrgSync, which took a majority of the
              summer time. Org Council will meet this Sunday, where all organizations
              will get together and collaborate. If you have any questions please contact
              Director Fritz via e-mail.
e.	   Director of Financial Affairs- Peterson
          1.	 Director Peterson was also a summer representative and attended
              necessary meetings and upkeep of office duties. Also attended Student
              Reps. and other committee's that needed student representation. Binders
              are done and if you have any questions of the information in them, just
              ask. Treasure training is going to be held this Saturday, and he will be
              explaining the new process. Financial Committee starts today, with a
              meeting directly following the Senate meeting.
f.	   Director of Public Relations- Kuen
          i. Reworking and updating the website and also putting up new bulletin
              boards around campus to insure students are getting information.
g.	   Director of Diversity- Yang
          i.	 Let me know what you would like to see out of the diversity position, e­
              mail and tell ideas and thoughts. Director Yang will be putting together
              goals for the year and would like as much input as possible. She is also
              helping collaborate to bring back the Native American Student
              Organization.
h.	   Director of Communications-Krueger
          i.	 Office hours will start next week, please e-mail them to me by the next
              caucus meeting. Working on a shared governance list and senators will be
              able to sign up at next week's meeting. If senators have any questions
              concerning absences, minutes, motions, ask and she can help. Also
                 working on getting a banner put up by Harvey Hall, along with some other
                 recruitment ideas.
