TOWSON, Md. – Sophomore D.J. Soven kicked a pressure-packed
27-yard field goal on the final play of the game as the Tigers edged
Richmond, 31-28.
   In a wild back-and-forth game that was tied twice in the fourth quar-
ter, Soven’s game-winning kick capped off a 54-yard, eight-play drive.
Freshman Terrance West had given the Tigers a 28-21 lead when
he scored his fourth touchdown on a 25-yard run with 6:15 remaining.
   However, the Spiders responded with a 70-yard, eight-play drive that
evened the game with 2:33 remaining.
   The Tigers, who rushed for 239 yards on 40 attempts, took a 14-3
first half lead before the Spiders rallied.
   West led the Tigers’ ground attack by rushing for 128 yards on
21 carries and scoring four touchdowns. Junior Dominique Booker
added 70 yards on 12 carries while quarterback Grant Enders picked
up 41 yards on seven attempts.
   West capped off four long scoring drives with touchdowns. In the first
quarter, he completed a 72-yard, 10-play drive with a three-yard run.
   In the second quarter, his four-yard touchdown run capped off an
80-yard, 13-play drive. When he scored on the first play of the fourth
quarter, he finished off a 67-yard, nine-play march. His 25-yard TD run
in the fourth quarter was the last play of a 65-yard, nine-play drive.
   Enders also completed 15-of-19 passes for 185 yards as the Tigers
were able to overcome a record passing performance by Aaron Corp
of Richmond.
   Corp set an NCAA FCS record by completing 31 of 34 passes for
353 yards and two touchdowns.
   Freshman cornerback Tye Smith and linebacker Kenton Powell
led the Tigers with nine tackles each. Junior Jordan Dangerfield also
made nine tackles.
