Line 3 Start-Up for Dasani Production
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this work instruction is to describe a the start up procedure for Dasani
production.
RESPONSIBILITY:
QC Lab Technicians are responsible for following this work instruction.
INSTRUCTION:
Check the nitrogen line to verify that it is on before starting
Filler Room 3
1. Verify that the vent tubes are the correct size for the bottle size.
2. Verify that the ozone probe is in place.
3. On the filler panel, the black controls need to be in the horizontal position.
4. Press the Start button on the Production screen – rotate the filler until the valve next to
the green box is accessible. Stop the filler and turn the valve to the open position.
Restart the filler.
5. Turn the latch opener to the left. Turn the rinse control to the right and the filler valve
control to the left for manual.
6. Turn the air valve for the stirrup control to the vertical position.
Dasani Skid Screen
1. Go to the main menu.
2. Press rinse control and rinse the filler.
3. Press the RO Filler Rinse circuit – select the PB button.
a. Press the hold button to start the rinse.
b. After the pre-rinse is complete, press the Hold button to start the timer.
4. Go to the filler supply screen – press the force enable button.
5. Turn the pump on in manual at 50-55%.
6. Rinse for 10-15 minutes.
7. Restart the rinse cycle, turn off the pump, and open the drain by the contact tower.
Once the tower is empty, close the valve.
8. Go to the Main Overview screen and verify settings.
9. Press Recipe Transferred, then select Batch Start.
10. Turn the cap control switch in the electrical room to auto (left).
Ozone
1. Open the handles on the contact tower (2 blue handles).
2. Turn the ozone panel (in the ozone room) to on/start – press any key.
a. Turn on the two machines to the right.

3. Go to the ozone panel in the filler room.
a. Pull out the emergency stop button.
b. Press the reset button.
c. Start the Ozone generator on hand – switch to auto after it starts.
d. Press F3 – verify that the conductor ozone pump and the ozone generator are
in auto.
4. After the blending starts – check the ozone level.
5. After the ozone concentration is within specifications, flush the filler until you can smell
ozone, turn the filling switch to auto.
6. Select the correct bottle size on the Nitrogen system screen and then press Fill
Enable.
7. On the production screen press start and run 18 bottles. Check the torques.
8. Run more bottle and check the code – once everything is in specifications, the filler is
ready to run.
