We are seeking qualified Associates to join the Business Valuation practice:
Our business valuation team performs valuations of business entities, intellectual property,
intangible assets, common and preferred stock and other securities along with partnership
interests, private debt instruments, options, warrants, and other derivative products. These
services are provided to assist clients with mergers, acquisitions and dispositions; taxation
planning and compliance; financial reporting; bankruptcy and reorganization; litigation and
dispute resolution; and strategic planning.

and technical specialists who are committed to providing responsive service.
We provide valuation services to assist in the following areas:
Business Combinations (SFAS 141, IRC section 1060)
Business Financial Modeling
Consolidation of Variable Interest Entities (FIN 46)
Federal Tax
Financial Instrument Valuation
Goodwill and Other Intangible Assets (SFAS 142)
Guarantor's Accounting and Disclosure Requirements for Guarantees (FIN 45)
Impairment or Disposal of Long-Lived Assets (SFAS 144)
International Tax
Personal tax
SFAS 123R/Equity Incentive Award (includes valuation of privately-held-company
equity securities issued as compensation)
Shareholder value optimization
State/Local Tax
The Business Valuation Services Associate job responsibilities may include:
Create financial models based on business issues or transactions being analyzed
Assist in drafting reports and findings including the preparation of tables, exhibits, and
charts
Participate in the development of client presentations
Assist with researching various technical and industry specific issues
Communicate effectively to all levels of engagement management
Balance multiple engagements and responsibilities
Research market issues and identify market opportunities
Assist in reviews of third party appraisals for audit support purposes
Demonstrate an understanding of risk associated with engagements
Business Valuation Services Associates will possess the following qualifications:
Students must be graduating in 2012 academic year
Strong academic credentials required, 3.0+ GPA
1 - 3 years of technical and/or financial advisory related experience with business
enterprise and intangible asset valuation
Ability to analyze companies from a financial, operational, and industry perspective
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Must be flexible with the potential travel requirements of client service engagements
Experience in a professional services firm preferred
Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
A strong finance, accounting, and/or economics background preferred
Bachelors required; Masters in Finance preferred; CFA, ASA, and/or CPA candidacy a
plus
Candidates must be eligible to receive a US Government Security Clearance. Preference
will be given to candidates with an active clearance.
