  Following (i) the workshop, jointly organized by UNCTAD, the Cameron Ministry of Commerce and the "Office National
  du Cacao et du Cafe" (ONCC) on the “Creation of a Commodity Exchange in Central Africa based in Cameroon” (27-29
  October, 2009 Yaoundé), and (ii) the pre-feasibility study undertaken by the Cameroon authorities, UNCTAD has begun
  work on the feasibility study for the creation of a coffee commodity exchange based on the inputs from the ONCC and
  the Cameroonian government.


The Action
The objective of the activity is a pre-feasibility study and support to relevant stakeholders for the potential creation of a
commodity exchange with special focus on cocoa and coffee in Cameroon with a view to a future regional development.
