Each Club Dive Should have the following as a minimum:
1. Dive Leader
2. Dive Log
3. Dive Flag
4. First Aid Kit
5. Cell phone / 2 way radio and emergency numbers / channels
6. O2 Kit
The Dive Leader or designate should fill out the dive log for each diver entering the water. Leave a blank row to designate
buddy teams.
A dive briefing should be given to the group before each dive outlining the objective of the dive, compass heading of swim
out and return, approximate depth, water conditions and any special considerations.
The dive briefing should also incude the following recommendations:
Buddy checks should be done prior to the dive using BWRAF or other method.
Remember that we are doing this for fun. Any diver can turn any dive at any time for any reason.
Each diver is responsible for tracking their own gas supply, NDL, MOD, OTU, Surface Interval and Decompression
Profile as appropriate.
Each diver is responsible for having the required equipment for the dive in reliable operating condition.
Each diver is responsible for having adequate training and experience, fitness and attitude to undertake the dive.
Ascent rate should not exceed 30 ft/ min on any dive.
A minimum 3 minute safety stop at 15 feet is recommended for every dive.
