Party Planning from A-Z
1. Play dating games at your party! Straw game or dice game, keep it fun and simple.
“This is my help my host game, I hope you all play along!”
2. Make sure to note that everyone who is willing to play is a potential host. Even if they don't pick “party” or
“winner” with your dating game, they still understood that by playing the game they could have picked “party” or
the possibility to host. So make sure to ask those who played, when you check them out, if they would still like to
host a party.
3. Word choices you can use when checking out a guest are “Susie, did you have fun tonight? Great! I wanted to
ask you, have you ever thought about doing something like this? (allow to answer) and I wanted to ask if you
would like to host a party of your own?”
4. Once the guest says yes, make sure to date the party right then. If the potential host says, “Oh I have to check
my date book”, or, “Oh, I have to get back to you, I can’t give you a date right now.” Make sure to respond kindly
and say “That’s okay, if we can just pencil a date in, we can give the host credit; you have 24 hrs to change the
date if you need to, but at least Suzie will get credit for your booking and I can give you the host packet tonight.”
Once they “pencil” in a date, 9 times out of 10 they stick with that originally date and you will save money and
time not having to send the host packet later and trying to track the host down. *Please note your retention is
much higher if you date the party within 3 weeks. Using a tool such as “dating cards” with specified dates can
really help.
5. Go over the host packet at the party. Ask the new host you are dating the party with if she has ever hosted a
home party before. If she has, validate for her that she knows what she is doing; however you want to review the
host packet with her. The host packet should include at least 2 catalogs, 2 flyers, 5 order forms, 2 host guest lists,
1 return addressed stamped envelope, host wish list, host overachiever, and recruiting flyer. Ask her to send the
guest list back to you within 72 hrs. If she would prefer to email the list to you that would be fine too. Ask her to
make sure she invites 40 or more guests “You want to make sure you invite double or triple the amount of people
you would want to show up at your home.” Ask her if she would prefer to send an evite. Tell her to go to
www.evite.com to set up a personalized invitation for free and don’t forget to add you to the evite. Challenge her
to send you the evite within 24 hrs if she does, give her a gift at the party. Ask her to work on outside orders and
try to collect $100-$200 in outside orders. Also advise her that you close the night of the party and to make sure
she has her wish list prepared.
6. Send a thank you note to your host for dating a party with you within 24-48 hrs. Let her know you will be in
touch often to help her plan the perfect party. Make sure to call/email the host at least 3 times before her party.
You should always make sure to call the day of the party to verify directions and get the host excited for her party,
“Hi Suzie, this is Mary your Tupperware Consultant! I wanted to you to know I am really excited about your party
tonight and I wanted to make sure I had the right directions. I will be at your house a half hour before the party to
set up! Make sure to have your wish list ready so we can close!”
7. The day of the party, close the party at the party. If the host says she still has other orders, tell her you can place
those orders on the next party. Once again, when party planning encourage her to collect all outside orders prior to
the party because you close the party the night of the party. After closing, inform her that she will receive her Tup-
perware via FedEx within 3 weeks. Give her the yellow copies and encourage her to divide the Tupperware out in
her living room piece by piece and inform her she will receive bags with her order as well. Also, invite the host to
redate with you, “Would you like to be an every 3 months, 6 months or yearly hostess?” and redate her new party.
8. Send a thank you card to your host for hosting and enclose a business card/ or magnet.
9. Follow up once the party has been shipped to ask her if everything was shipped accurately and if she has any
questions, thank her again.
10. *Remember to interview every host to join your team and ask her if she would like to give Tupperware a try
for 30 days. *Your hosts are your best recruit leads!
