Setting-Up the Board
1. Plug the USB cable into the back of the PC and the front of the SMART Board.
The light should turn green on the board. If it does not turn green, you need
to skip to the trouble shooting section below. Make sure you have 4 pens and
one eraser all placed into the tray.
2. Orientation ensures your touch is registered accurately
when using the interactive whiteboard. The orientation
process aligns the projected image with the working area
on the interactive whiteboard. The quickest way to
do this is to click on the small blue Smart icon in the
system tray then click orient. More information

blue icon in the system tray skip to the trouble shooting
3. Placement of your presentation station is
important. Every time the cart is bumped or
moved you will have to re-orient it. After you
have it in a spot with good orientation, you may
want to mark the floor with tape so that you can
easily put it back in the same spot with the same

4. If you do not see the blue icon or have a green light,
you can try two things. Click on Start All

5. If that does not work, you can reinstall the drivers.
