Fans of the ABC reality television series are curious to find out what
celebrities will be dancing during the upcoming season. No official
announcement has been made about the cast, but there are many Season 12
Dancing with the Stars cast rumors all over the Internet. In the past the
cast of the show is made up of people from different groups: an athlete;
a singer looking to make a comeback; an actor or actress well past their
prime years; an actor or actress (probably from a soap opera or show of
this type) looking to make the jump into bigger projects; an actor or
actress looking to make a comeback; a reality television personality; and
a politician or other political figure. The rumors about the season 12
cast give us names from these different categories. Here are some of the
names that have been out there about potential season 12 Dancing with the
Stars cast members. Whether or not they are actually going to be on the
show is one thing, but it can be fun to speculate about who will be
dancing this season.Athletes: WWE Diva Maria Kanellis; retired pro
football player Brett Farve.Actor or Actress Past their Prime: Lorenzo
Lamas.Actor or Actress Looking to Jump into Bigger Projects: Donna
D'Errico; Colleen Zenk.Actor or Actress Looking to Make a Comeback: Rob
Lowe, Jodie Sweetin.Reality Television Personality: Kendra Wilkinson-
Baskett; NeNe Leakes; Amanda Arlauskas; Danny Gokey.Politician or other
Political Figure: Christine O'Donnell; Todd Palin. There are also some
people who don't seem to fit into one of these preset categories. There's
poker professional Phil Hellmuth; former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk
Wylde; motivational speaker/writer Tony Robbins. After the chaos and
controversy following Season 11 of the show, the producers of Dancing
with the Stars are going to have their hands full trying to put together
a cast that can compare. Season 11 saw the most votes being cast, and
perhaps the most controversy over any contestant ever. There were
allegations and accusations of cheating regarding the voting for Bristol
Palin. (The accusations are not against Bristol but rather some of her
supporters.) There was the Bruno Tonioli / Michael Bolton smackdown. And
then there was Boo Gate, when the media tried to make a story having the
audience boo Sarah Palin, when unedited tapes of the show clearly showed
that the audience was expressing their displeasure for the scores they
gave to Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough's performance. For the first time,
fans can go to the ABC website and nominate celebrities they would like
to see on the show - a chance for fans to have a say as to who appears on
the show. Some of the other categories on the website (that I didn't
mention above) include model and comedian/comedienne.While no firm date
has been given regarding the premier of Season 12, sources agree that the
first show will air on March 21, 2011 on ABC. An official announcement of
the premier date, along with the official cast, should be coming out
shortly by ABC.Who will actually be part of Season 12 of Dancing with the
Stars? For now it's all rumor and speculation, but that's part of the
fun. Trying to guess the celebrities who will appear on the show is
nothing new for fans of Dancing with the Stars.
