The Drug Cartels
As a Mexican American student my family and
friends in my home town have been badly affected by
the Drug Cartels and the drug trade.
People are affected and the police are interested
in stopping the violence in this country related to drug
traffic on the border.
These things occur all the time on the border and
also in México. The people who live around the border
and also the people who live in the big cities are
affected by increased crimes in the communities.
This happens because the cartels are fighting to
see who can own more territory in the drug trade and to
see who is best.
This makes it difficult for many Poly High School
students to travel and see family and friends in Mexico.
It also makes people misjudge Mexican Americans.
The cartels are bad and we hope that the U.S.
Government can work with the Mexican government to
make a difference.
