Aim: to provide participants with an intensive education
program from which they can consolidate & utilize in their relevant PD unit.

Main objective :improve quality of pt care through providing updated
information of PD & therefore developing confidence in managing PD pt.

Objectives:

At the end of this course nurses will be able to understand:

     The importance of PD as an integral approach to renal replacement
      therapy.

     Management role of PD nurse in improving the success of PD program.

     The differences, advantages &disadvantages of various PD modalities.

     The importance of identifying peritoneal transport in order to select
      modalities.

     Different types of PD solution & how to use them in managing fluid
      balance.

     Current practice guidelines to prevent & manage catheter related
      complications.

     Management strategy for prevention ,detection &treatment of peritonitis.

     Clinical presentations & treatment options of non infectious complication
      of PD.
