A trip to Senegal, West Africa
July 12 – 27, 2010
16 days
Africa is a continent we all have images of, good, bad or indifferent. I want to introduce you
to the Africa that I have grown to love and enjoy Senegal, West Africa. I am a teacher and
have been travelling to Senegal doing business for over 20 years. I know the country well. My
name is Mustafa-Khalil Khalfani and I invite you to travel with us to Senegal in July 2010. For
16 days I will expose you to a culture, people and experiences that you will have fond
memories of forever. You will love Senegal as I have and you will get to meet many people
and experience how regular Senegalese people live.
SENEGAL, WEST AFRICA
Its just seven hours travel from New York, USA to the West Coast of Africa. Check out our
agents website www.westafricanadventures.com and www.galsen.com. Senegal is a former
French colony that became independent in 1960. It is constitutionally a secular democratic
country with a Muslim majority and a vibrant Catholic minority. They get along with no
problems! “Why can’t we all just get along?”
WHY PLAN NOW
Things maybe tough for most of us at this time, but if you plan now we could comfortably
save enough money to get to Senegal in 2010. It’s a once in a lifetime trip and you can do it.
We are speaking about $2,500 per person, double occupancy (inclusive of hotel, meals and
tours) and $3,300.00 single occupancy. Airfare is not included. This a non-profit trip from this
end.
Should you have any questions, want further explanations or interested in the trip, please

POPULATION & PEOPLE
Senegal has a population of approximately 10 million people, with a dominant tribe called the
Wolof people. My wife is from the best tribe (joke) called the Bambara people. They
originally came from the Republic of Mali. Remember the ancient city of Timbuktu, that’s in
Mali, that’s them.
LANGUAGE
French is the official language, but all tribes have their own language and I don’t speak
NONE!
CRIME
What is crime? Senegal is safer than the Bahamas with 10 million people. One love all the
time.
CURRENCY
All former French African colonies use the CFA. You change your US dollars based on a daily
rate into local CFA.
HEALTH
No shots needed, but if you like needles, no problem. But taking malaria pills before, during
and after the trip is recommended. After visiting Senegal for over 20 years, I am still alive!
MY AGENT
My agent is my Senegalese brother whom I have known for over 20 years. He’s honest and is
one of my right hand persons in Senegal. His name is Lamine Gueye. We have both come up
with the best itinerary for what I think a Bahamian would like to see and do and any other
persons who may want to join us from to there destinations. Hey, if you get this email and live
outside of the Bahamas, just contact us and we will meet in New York or Dakar. No problem.
We are open to anybody who wants to travel.
VISA
Bahamians need visas, Americans and Europeans do not. I will arrange visa acquisition. Those
who can’t enter the United States are able to get to Senegal through London. I will tell you
the route. Just get to Dakar, then the fun begins!
WORLD CUP 2010
If you are going to South Africa for the World Cup why not stop in Dakar, at no extra costs.
South Africa Airways from New York stops in Dakar and then into Johannesburg and then on
the way back to New York. Let me arrange a short stop over tour in Senegal
WE FLY ON SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS
We fly direct to JFK, New York from Nassau, Bahamas on Jet Blue Airlines. New York to
Dakar, Senegal on South African Airways.
