NFL All-Pro Defensive Back BOBBY TAYLOR* Welcomed as Newest Member of
99.3 Talk FM Sports Broadcast Team
Tyler-Longview, Texas – On Thursday, November 11, 2011, during the afternoon sports show
SportsRadio Live! , 99.3 Talk FM announced the newest member to their sports broadcasting
team. Bobby Taylor, the former Longview Lobo and USA Today High School All-American,
University of Notre Dame consensus All-American defensive back, and 10 year NFL veteran and
All-Pro for the Philadelphia Eagles will enter his “rookie season” as a sports radio football
analyst and co-host on 99.3 Talk FM.
99.3 Talk FM Sports Director Reid Kerr made the announcement Thursday on Sports Radio Live!
with Reid Kerr, heard weekdays from 4pm until 6pm. Taylor joined Kerr on air for his
introduction as the station‟s newest staff member. When asked why he is joining the 99.3 Talk
FM sports broadcasting team Taylor said “(Broadcasting) is definitely something I have a passion
for. I think a lot of times you see guys that just think as soon as they stop playing they can just
„turn it on,‟ walk into a studio or get on a radio show and just „be good.‟ But I want to get as
much research and practice as I can to help me out, so I can be as successful at this as I was on
the football field. I‟m looking forward to this experience.” Taylor said he sees this as an
opportunity to share his insight into the game of football with the people of East Texas. “I can use
the things I did personally out there playing and I can help the listener get a better grasp some of
the plays, what the coaches are calling, and maybe put them in the mind of the players out on the
field.”
Taylor also mentioned that he “like(s) being labeled as the new intern” at 99.3 Talk FM. Bobby
Taylor will join the cast of SportsRadio LIVE! hosted by Reid Kerr with support cast of Craig
Smoak, Chuck McKinley, and contributor Chris Stuckey. He will also contribute as a recurring
guest on 99.3 Talk FM‟s sister station, 102.7 106.9 The Blaze.
*Bobby Taylor is a former multi-sport stand-out who graduated from Longview High School in 1992.
Taylor received the most votes when named to the USA Today All-American football team, and was named

class 5A state championship in basketball and was named 5A Player of the Year. Taylor played college
football at the University of Notre Dame where he was a Consensus All-American in 1994 and won the
Jack Tatum trophy. He was a Jim Thorpe finalist for the nation’s top defensive back after his sophomore
season at Notre Dame in 1993. In 1995 the Philadelphia Eagles drafted Taylor in the second round, and
he played for the Eagles until 2003, and played in the NFL Pro Bowl. He played a total of 10 years in the
