Paul Thomas RN, BSN, CIC
Paul Thomas is the Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator for Saint
Clare’s Hospital and The Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Wausau
Wisconsin. He has developed and is responsible for the infection prevention and
control programs since they opened in 2005.
He received his Diploma Degree in Nursing from Saint Luke’s School of Nursing,
Racine Wisconsin, in 1985 and his Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Marion
College in Fond du Lac Wisconsin in 1992. Paul has held a national certification
in infection control since 1999.
Paul has held various RN positions in healthcare over his 24 year career which
includes: working in Intensive Care and Quality Management. For the last twelve
years Paul has functioned as an Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator.
Paul makes his home in north central Wisconsin. When not at work he enjoys the
many outdoor recreational opportunities the north woods of Wisconsin offers.
