COLLEGE & CAREER RESOURCE CENTER
Every student graduating from a New Jersey high school is required to
fulfill a Career Education requirement. At Mendham, the process begins
in sophomore year, when students complete a Career Decision Maker
profile, then, based on the results, research a job and write a paper on
New Jersey also requires high school juniors to prepare a junior resume.
Students are introduced to the resume writing process and complete a
resume based on academic, extracurricular and community achievements.
This same resume is updated in senior year and becomes a working
document for use with college and job applications. This process is
administered through the College & Career Resource Center.
The CCRC has an extensive library of college and career information,
college and career search software, scholarship applications, job
opportunities/volunteer postings and various year-round, as well as
summer programs. Here students will find regularly updated computer
programs designed to provide in-depth college searches and career
College representatives are scheduled to visit our school throughout the
fall. Guest speakers, workshops and field trips are scheduled
throughout the entire school year.
