Kohl’s Gift Helps Magnify Local
Pediatricians’ Power
Saturday, June 3, 2006
Area Kohl's stores sent A-Teams, or groups
of five volunteers, to help staff the "10th
Annual Stroll for Strong Kids", at Genesee
Valley Park, Rochester.
Kohl's department store chain made a
$57,537 donation to the hospital's
Pediatric Links with the Community
program, which helps to promote the health
of kids on a community level, putting
resident pediatricians to work with
community-based organizations, not just in the doctor's office.
ABOUT KOHL'S CARES FOR KIDS*
Kohl's commitment to [hospital] is made possible through the Kohl's Cares for
Kids* program, which raises funds for children's health and educational
opportunities across the country through the sale of special gift items. One
hundred percent of the net profits from the sale of these items support children's
health and educational opportunities in the market areas served by Kohl's.
The gift supports the Pediatric Links with the Community Program, which prompts
pediatricians to go beyond their offices and collaborate with community
organizations, making a powerful difference in the health of local kids.
Kohl's introduced the Kohl's Cares for Kids* program to reinforce its commitment
to the communities it serves and to promote children's health and educational
opportunities. Over the last 2 years, Kohl's has donated more than $82,000 to
Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong through the Kohl's Cares for Kids*
program.
