POLICY:
● Patients can never, under any circumstances, schedule or receive radiologic exams without
a prescription or order from a physician.
● Appointments may be made via phone by a physician, his/her office nurse or the patient.
Should a patient schedule radiologic exams over the phone, he/she must present a written
prescription upon arriving at the registration desk, which will be sent with the patient to the
Imaging Services Department.
● Any patient who is not of legal age must obtain consent from the parent or legal guardian.
● Outpatient procedures that require preparation or need the supervision of the radiologist
are to be scheduled in advance.
