GFA eMarketing brings its clients permissionbased, OptIn email lists by geographical
target market areas. All consumers have given their permission for us to send them
offers, specials, and information from local businesses. We can target emails based on
consumer demographics and by state, county, city, and Canadian province.
Before an email is added to our database, it is verified for deliverability and accuracy.
We then verify optin status of each consumer and we strictly adhere to all antispam
regulations and practices. If an email list does not contain permissionbased and/or
optin emails, then it is illegal to use for email marketing purposes. Using email
addresses that are not permissionbased and/or optin will result in spam complaints
from the recipients and the sender’s domains can be blocked. This action is referred to

Creating HTML versions of clients’ messages:
· We have many templates to choose from. However, if you need assistance
creating a custom HTML version of a message, we will provide creative services. The
fee is $100 per hour and the average time is one to two hours.
· We place the most important info “above the fold,” meaning the top two to four
inches of the design. Include a headline, calltoaction, and small logo in this area to
grab the attention of the reader right away. Do not rely exclusively on images/graphics
for this information in case the image is blocked and immediately discourages the
recipient from acting on the offer.
· We use fonts that are universal on the Internet, such as Arial, Verdana, Tahoma, or
Times New Roman. Other fonts will resort to a default font if the recipient doesn’t
have the same font installed on their computer.
· We clearly identify what the “calltoaction” is. We will emphasize what will make
your recipient act on your offer.
· We bullet points to identify key points in the message, and minimize the number of
fonts, sizes, and colors used in the design for easy flow and a professional look.
· We keep the subject line fewer than 49 characters. Some recipients may not see
any letter or words after 49 characters because they could be cut off by their email
ISP.
· We use ALT tags in the HTML code for each image used in the HTML design.
· When possible, we avoid using white (code #FFFFFF) text. Spammers sometimes
use white text on white backgrounds to prevent visibility of some text, so Spam Filters
may flag the white text and block the email.
· We use a signature graphic to make the email appear more personal.
· We use headers, especially those featuring a brand or logo.
· We add a colored background behind a small but important part of the email
message to distinguish it.
Finally, remember that when it comes to copy, you must take into account the federal
CanSpam Act and spam filters. GFA eMarketing has created solutions that will help

the deliverability of each and every message.
